Faculty Award for Academic Outreach Awarded to those who use their academic expertise to further the learning of K-12 students, teachers or other educational stakeholders of Georgia. Geoffrey G. Eichholz Faculty Teaching Award Recognizes faculty who provide outstanding teaching to students in core courses. Outstanding Instructor Recognizes enthusiasm about teaching, thorough knowledge of subject being taught, genuine interest in making an impact, excellent communication skills, responsiveness to students, availability and accessibility to students. Young Faculty Award Given to faculty of rank no higher than Assistant Professor or equivalent. Recognizes outstanding research achievements, as evidenced by publications, program development results and other research contributions. Outstanding Undergraduate Academic Advising Award - Faculty Recognizes a faculty member who has significant responsibilities in advising undergraduates and in teaching and/or research. Denning Faculty Award for Global Engagement Recognizes a faculty member who has demonstrated sustained outstanding achievement and commitment to the advancement of the InstituteÕs global engagement. Outstanding Research Faculty Award Recognizes outstanding research faculty in the College of Computing. Outstanding Achievement in Research Enterprise Enhancement Award Awarded to a staff member who consistently betters Georgia TechÕs research program but is not a traditional researcher. Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Awards Recognizes faculty who have had sustained outstanding achievement in mentoring undergraduates in research activities. Given to one junior and one senior member of the general faculty. Packet (no more than 20 pages) to include: letter of nomination, condensed curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and letters of recommendation that must include past and present students. Outstanding Post Doctorate Research This award is given for outstanding research by a postdoc nominated by the faculty. Frances Kaiser Award Recognizes a member of the Georgia Tech Library Faculty for significant professional achievement in library and information science resulting in contributions to the Institute. Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Advisor Award Awarded in recognition of the achievements of a faculty member's doctoral students who completed all degree requirements from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2017. Class of 1934 Distinguished Professor Award Recognizes sustained outstanding achievement in teaching, research and service. Highest award given to a faculty member. CTL/BP Junior Faculty Teaching Excellence Award Recognizes teaching excellence, educational innovation, impact on student lives, and research / teaching connections. The Lester Endowment Award Established by Faye R. and James D. Lester III, this annual award is to recognize faculty members in the College of Computing whose research in Internet phenomena is deemed noteworthy. Undergraduate Educator Award Recognizes outstanding contributions to undergraduate education. Non-tenure track faculty with 75-100% appointment, teaches undergraduate courses, and has completed at least two semesters.
