Nominees embody what it means to be a Georgia Tech employee, continually striving toward progress and service. Ideal nomination will describe how the individual has exhibited the specific behavior and how his/her efforts and approaches impacted others and the community. Process Improvement Excellence Award Celebrates staff who consistently invent or improve tools, processes, or systems. Nominees should consistently ask "how can we do this better?" and "why do we do it that way?" Ideal nomination will describe how the individual has exhibited the specific behavior and how his/her efforts and approaches impacted others and brought the eyes of the world to Georgia Tech. Rising Wreck Award Celebrates staff who demonstrate leadership qualities that align with the Institute's Creating the Next Visionary Leader vision. Nominees should take initiative to solve problems and improve work situations without being promoted. Ideal nomination will describe how the individual has exhibited the specific behavior and how his/her efforts and approaches impacted others and brought the eyes of the world to Georgia Tech. Hats Off Performance Award Recognizes classified staff members who have demonstrated exceptional job performance and/or service to ECE above and beyond the call of duty. Partnership Award Celebrates staff who cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships at the international, national, or local levels. Nominees seek new partnerships while leveraging existing ones. Service to the Community Award Presented to staff who engage in activities that help others within the Georgia Tech community or outside of the Institute. Rising Star Award Recognizes an individual member who has created or utilized an opportunity to grow and develop in their role in the past 12 months and as a result, has made important contributions to their unit. Creating the Next Award Recognizes an individual or team who regularly evaluates situations, gathers data, and uses the data, to identify opportunities for change. Nominees embrace change as an opportunity for growth and innovation. Hero Award Recognizes a staff member who is a role model and sets a positive work example, committed to service excellence, produces exemplary work, and demonstrates that no job is too big or too small. Outstanding Graduate Academic Advising Award Presented annually to one staff member who has rendered outstanding performance in graduate student academic advising. Outstanding Undergraduate Academic Advising Award - Staff Recognizes a staff member whose primary role is to advise undergraduates. Must have completed at least two years of service Documentation to include: cover letter, letter from nominator, letter from supervisor, and letters from students. Outstanding Achievement in Research Enterprise Enhancement Award Awarded to a staff member who consistently betters Georgia TechÕs research program but is not a traditional researcher. Only one nomination per individual per year. There is no limit to the number of nominations from any individual unit, but all nominations will be vetted for endorsement by the by the appropriate dean, IRI director or other executive. The Dean's Award Awarded to the person (or persons) in the College who, in the DeanÕs opinion, represents the best of the College recognizing outstanding dedication to the College. Outstanding Staff in a Supervisory Position Nominee should have made significant achievements contributing to the fulfillment of the mission of the College and of Georgia Tech. Employee of the Quarter Nominee will be honored for living by and/or putting the mission, vision and expected behaviors of the Library into action.
