Provost Steven W. McLaughlin has convened a search committee tasked with selecting the Senior Vice Provost for Education and Learning. The search will be chaired by Mitchell L R. Walker II, Professor and Associate Chair for Graduate Programs, School of Aerospace Engineering.

This is an internal search open to tenured faculty members at Georgia Tech. This position reports to the Provost.

Finalists Chosen in the Senior Vice Provost for Education and Learning Search
Three finalists have been chosen in the Senior Vice Provost for Education and Learning search. As part of the final selection process, candidates will present a seminar on their vision for the role. The hour-long seminars are open to all Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff. Interested individuals can watch virtually in real-time or watch a post-event video recording of each candidate presentation. 
The finalists are listed below in order of their campus seminar presentations. Additional details, including each respective candidate’s curriculum vitae, seminar link, and survey can be found by clicking on the names below. Survey forms for the candidates will be available through midnight on Friday, January 14. 

  • Mary Lynn Realff, Associate Chair for Undergraduate Programs in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and Co-Director of the Center for Women, Science and Technology, will present a virtual seminar on Monday, January 10 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. 
  • Ellen Zegura, Regents and Fleming Professor in the School of Computer Science, and Executive Co-Director of Serve-Learn-Sustain, will present a virtual seminar on Tuesday, January 11 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.  
  • Laurence Jacobs, Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, College of Engineering and School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, will present a virtual seminar on Wednesday, January 12 from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
